Dear Minnesota,
Cancer is the leading cause of death in Minnesota; its impact has no boundaries. From Native American communities, the Iron Range, Rochester, to the Twin Cities, almost all Minnesotans know someone affected by cancer.
Cancer impacts individuals, their loved ones, and communities and drives our mission.
The University of Minnesota shifts the narrative by supporting laboratories where novel therapies are developed and the clinical teams who bring new technology to the bedside.
Fighting cancer goes beyond cutting-edge medical care; it requires treating the patient as a whole, encompassing one’s psychological and cultural needs. The Masonic Cancer Center, as a Comprehensive Cancer Center - a status signifying the breadth of its research excellence and leadership, does just that.
The Masonic Cancer Center connects thousands of advocacy groups and support organizations statewide and fosters collaboration between over 600 hundred scientists, doctors, nurses, and educators. It drives innovation to give people options and create hope.
It is possible to live a high-quality life with cancer. The Masonic Cancer Center unites interdisciplinary teams to lead the fight in Minnesota against cancer and improve lives.
Together we are better.
